HQ Tape
HQ Tape is a double sided self adhesive foamtape with a rubber based adhesive-layer.
This tape has two functions:
- To be used as the first (temporary) bonding of the cladding panels.
- As a distance indicator.
Temporary bonding
When materials are bonded the adhesive has not sufficient body to immediately hold the materials. HQ Tape is used for temporary adhesion until the Bond has been cured sufficiently.
Distance Indicator
The thickness of the HQ Tape takes care for the distance between the two materials to be bonded and also for the thickness of the Bond, in most cases 3 mm., resulting in an elastic bond, which can resist the expansion or shrinkage of the materials.
HQ Tape is available in different thicknesses. This varies with the various purposes HQ Tape is used for.
